These courses are NOT designed to satisfy requirements for those seeking to teach at the community college level or above, or for dual enrollment. We recommend that teachers contact their state department of education or school district to determine whether these courses are acceptable for recertification or other professional needs.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

A student may withdraw from a course by sending an email to amy@teacherstep.com. The following conditions will apply:

1. If a student requests a withdrawal within 7 days of registration:
   The student may be eligible for a refund if no work has been submitted and if it the withdrawal is within the refund period. If work has been submitted, a refund will not be issued.

2. If a student requests a withdrawal after 7 days from registration:
   A student may receive a grade of “W” (Withdraw) in the regular term until two weeks before the last day of the regular term. No one may withdraw from a course after this final date.
   No refund will be issued.

EXTENSION POLICY

There are no extensions granted with these courses. You may re-enroll if you do not finish within the 9-month time frame.

COURSE RETAKE POLICY

A student may retake a course (register again and pay the tuition) if the student receives a grade of D or F. The D or F grade will remain on the official transcript as part of the student’s official academic record.  However, the effect of the D or F grade will not be used for the GPA calculation. The retake grade will be another entry on the record under a different term. This new grade will be used for the GPA calculation.

COURSE INCOMPLETE POLICY

If a student does not complete all the assignments in the 9-month time frame, the resulting grade will reflect an average of the completed work and zero(s) for the work that is outstanding. There are no extensions granted for these courses.

TRANSCRIPT POLICY

Transcripts are only available for TeacherStep Graduate Credit Courses. Students who take Advancement Credit Courses may not request a transcript. Your grade is usually reported to the Registrar’s office within 10 days from your completion of the Final Exam. 
A Transcript of your grade may be requested once your grade has been reported to the Registrar’s office. You do not have to wait until the end of a semester to receive a Transcript.

For each course, your Converse transcript will show the course number, title, credits earned, the grade received, and the date that you ENROLLED in the course. We do not use the date that you complete a course on the transcript.

Transcripts are cumulative and will display ALL courses that have been completed. If you take two courses, for example, a single transcript will show both courses.

Students may order online an official, certified PDF of your transcript to be delivered electronically or mailed OR may submit a Transcript request form.

Students may still print the TeacherStep, Math Refresher, ETV Transcript Request form. You must submit a Transcript Request Form to Converse University along with the $10.00 fee per transcript. Click HERE to download the transcript request form.

Converse does not issue un-official transcripts.

PRIVACY

TeacherStep will not collect personal identification information from you, other than any personal identification information that you supply us voluntarily. You may be asked to provide some personal identification information. This may be in connection with the following: registration, enrollment, commenting, sharing. TeacherStep and any service providers acting on our behalf may use your personal identification information for activities explained in this policy, for internal and marketing purposes. Participants may opt out of email or newsletter enrollments at any time. This may prevent your participation in activities for which personal information is needed.

TeacherStep enrollment and registration transactions will safely collect and store the personal identification information that you supply us (such as name, billing address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number and expiration date) to provide the products and services that you have ordered or requested, to process and ship orders, to send order and shipping confirmations, and to provide customer service. This information also may be used to contact you about promotions unless you have opted out of these types of communication.

TeacherStep will collect and store certain non-personal information automatically whenever you interact with the TeacherStep website used to analyze and improve the TeacherStep website, as well as provide our users with a fulfilling learning experience.

TeacherStep may engage third parties to perform services in connection with the TeacherStep website. These services include payment processing and authorization, fraud protection and credit risk reduction, marketing and promotional material distribution, website operation and evaluation, data analysis and data cleansing.
